STEAM at Kids International Early Childhood Center
This is what STEAM looks like in our school! The children are experimenting with our “scale” to see if markers or blocks weigh more. They have an opportunity to chart their findings and use the results in later explorations. Our curriculum follows the Project Construct and Reggio Emilia approaches to early childhood education. Our kids play and explore, and through those experiences, they gain a life long love of learning.
STEAM is an educational approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking. The end results are students who take thoughtful risks, engage in experiential learning, persist in problem-solving, embrace collaboration, and work through the creative process. These are the innovators, educators, leaders, and learners of the 21st century!
