“We offer programs for infants and toddlers, preschool programs for ages 2-4, and pre-K for ages 4-6” owner Anne Otto said. “Our school was designed to give children an intimate, home-like environment while they are away from their parent.” She added that it is important to make parents and families comfortable, especially first-time parents. “It can be tough to say goodbye to your baby when you return to work. Our caregivers create a warm, nurturing and inviting environment to help parents with the transition back to work. The teachers work with parents to monitor their experience at helping each child reach and surpass those developmental milestones that are so important in the first year,” Anne said. The curriculum at Kids International is based on the Project Construct model and the Reggio Emilia approach to education. This philosophy allows children to learn by exploring their interests, “We recognize the value of letting children explore their environment. Our large backyard is home to our outdoor classroom, which you can see at natureexplore.org. The outdoor classroom is a great space for students to enjoy nature and learn through play. Students are encouraged to follow their curiosity, which helps instill a lifelong love of learning,” Anne said. “Kids International is a community of families that understand he value and importance of early childhood education,” Anne said. “Our goal is to provide that education in a home-like setting. We give parents the peace of mind that comes with knowing their child’s physical, emotional and developmental needs are in expert, loving hands.”
